• A failed brake fluid level sensor
• Open or short in the brake fluid level sensor circuit
• A corroded connector at the brake fluid reservoir

What to do next

1. Check the brake fluid level and top off if low
2. Inspect the reservoir for leaks that dropped the level
3. Test the brake fluid level sensor circuit for opens and shorts
4. Watch the brake fluid level switch state in live data
5. Replace the brake fluid level sensor if it does not change state
6. Clear the code and retest
