• A clogged fuel filter restricting flow
• A weak fuel pump lowering supply pressure
• A failing fuel pressure sensor sending wrong readings
• Wiring or a connector fault at the fuel pressure sensor or regulator

1. Read fuel pressure with a scan tool and a gauge
2. Compare commanded pressure to actual pressure
3. Check the fuel filter for restriction
4. Test the fuel pressure sensor wiring and connector
5. Replace the fuel pressure regulator or sensor if either is faulty
6. Clear the code and retest
