Check these first

• A short to ground on the glow plug sense wire
• A glow plug shorted to ground
• A failed glow plug control module
• Water in a glow plug connector
• Low battery voltage during the glow cycle

What to do next

1. Check the glow plug sense voltage with the key on
2. Look for a short to ground on the sense wire
3. Measure each glow plug for a short to ground
4. Inspect the connectors for water or corrosion
5. Replace the glow plug control module if the sense wire is clean
6. Clear the code and retest
