Check these first

• Weak or failing battery
• Failing alternator or voltage regulator
• Loose or corroded battery cables
• Open or shorted charging control circuit
• High resistance at the battery or grounds

What to do next

1. Measure battery and charging voltage at idle and with loads
2. Load-test the battery and inspect the cables
3. Test the alternator output and the charging signal
4. Clean tight battery terminals and grounds
5. Replace the battery, alternator, or repair wiring as found
