• A Y circuit tap reading below the surrounding cell voltages
• High resistance in the Y sense lead
• A corroded pin in the Y circuit connector
• A weak cell at the Y voltage tap
• A sense module input fault on the Y channel

What to do next

1. Read the Y circuit voltage on a scan tool
2. Compare the Y tap reading to its neighbors
3. Inspect the Y sense lead and connector for corrosion
4. Measure resistance through the Y circuit
5. Replace the sense module if the Y channel reads low
6. Clear the code and retest
