Check these first

• A bank 1 particulate filter that will not complete its regeneration
• Excessive soot loading from overfueling on bank 1
• A plugged bank 1 exhaust raising back pressure
• A faulty bank 1 EGT or pressure sensor reporting the wrong load

What to do next

1. Read bank 1 DPF soot load and regeneration status on a scan tool
2. Check bank 1 for an overfueling condition
3. Inspect the bank 1 exhaust for restriction
4. Test bank 1 EGT and pressure sensors against known values
5. Repair or replace the bank 1 DPF or sensor as found
6. Clear the code and retest
