• An open in the PTO sense circuit wiring
• A failed PTO sense switch
• Corrosion at the PTO sense switch connector
• A blown PTO sense circuit fuse

2. Check the PTO sense circuit fuse
3. Test the PTO sense circuit for an open
4. Inspect the PTO sense switch connector for corrosion
5. Replace the PTO sense switch if the circuit tests good
6. Clear the code and retest
