• Heat or vibration shifting the shift fork D position signal

What to do next

1. Read shift fork D position on a scan tool while wiggling the harness
2. Test the shift fork D position circuit for intermittent open and short faults
3. Check the shift fork D position sensor connector pins for corrosion
4. Check transmission fluid level and condition
5. Replace the shift fork D position sensor if the fault returns
6. Clear the code and retest
