• An active NOx or SCR fault that has triggered driver inducement
• Diesel exhaust fluid that is empty or of incorrect quality
• A failed NOx sensor reporting an out of range value
• A blocked or failed SCR catalyst

What to do next

1. Read all stored NOx, SCR and DEF codes to find the root fault
2. Check diesel exhaust fluid level and quality
3. Review freeze frame data for the conditions that set the code
4. Inspect the NOx sensors and SCR catalyst as directed by the root code
5. Repair the underlying fault and clear the code
6. Retest after the required drive cycle for the inducement to reset
