Check these first

• The Bus B positive and negative wires shorted together
• A pinched harness that joined the two Bus B conductors
• A failed module internally shorting the two Bus B lines
• Crushed or chafed Bus B wiring

What to do next

1. Read the code and check module communication status on a scan tool
2. Measure resistance between the Bus B positive and negative wires
3. Inspect the Bus B harness for pinching or chafing
4. Unplug modules one at a time to isolate an internal short
5. Repair the short between the Bus B conductors
6. Clear the code and retest
