Check these first

• The bus H (+) and bus H (-) wires pinched together
• Insulation worn through where the bus H lines share a loom
• Solder or corrosion bridging bus H (+) to bus H (-)
• A module internally shorting bus H (+) to bus H (-)

What to do next

1. Read stored codes on every module that shares bus H
2. Disconnect modules on bus H one at a time and watch for the short to clear
3. Ohm between bus H (+) and bus H (-) with the battery disconnected
4. Repair the pinched or chafed section where the bus H lines touch
5. Replace the module that clears the short when disconnected
6. Clear the code and retest
