Lost Communication With Lateral Acceleration Sensor Module

Where it lives

For U0124, the description names the sensor as the part involved.

Check these first

• Damage to the Lateral Acceleration Sensor Module or its wiring
• Corrosion or water in the sensor connector
• A sensor that is installed or calibrated wrong
• Electrical interference on the communication bus
• A failed sensor module

What to do next

1. Scan all modules for communication codes
2. Inspect the Lateral Acceleration Sensor Module and its wiring
3. Check the sensor power and ground feeds
4. Check the bus for electrical interference from added electronics
5. Replace the Lateral Acceleration Sensor Module if the bus and feeds test good
6. Clear the code and retest
