Check these first

• Clogged or dirty fuel injectors
• A weak fuel pump not holding pressure
• A restricted fuel filter
• A faulty fuel pressure sensor
• A vacuum or intake leak

What to do next

1. Check fuel pressure and flow against spec
2. Inspect the fuel filter and lines for a restriction
3. Run an injector balance test for a weak cylinder
4. Compare fuel pressure sensor readings to a gauge
5. Replace the fuel pressure sensor if it reads off
6. Clear the code and retest
