• An R tap reading above the surrounding cell voltages
• A short to voltage on the R sense lead
• A corroded R connector adding resistance
• An overcharged cell at the R tap
• A sense module input fault on R

What to do next

1. Read R circuit voltage on a scan tool
2. Compare the R reading to its paired tap
3. Inspect the R sense lead for a short to voltage
4. Measure the R tap directly at the pack
5. Replace the sense module if the R channel reads high
6. Clear the code and retest
