Check these first

• A P circuit tap reading below the surrounding cell voltages
• High resistance in the P sense lead or connection
• A corroded pin in the P circuit connector
• A weak cell at the P voltage tap
• A sense module input fault on the P channel

What to do next

1. Read the P circuit voltage on a scan tool
2. Compare the P tap reading to its neighbors
3. Inspect the P sense lead and connector for corrosion
4. Measure resistance through the P circuit
5. Replace the sense module if the P channel reads low
6. Clear the code and retest
